Italian National Day at the Ämari Air Base

Italian National Day at the Ämari Air Base

On June 2, Italy celebrates the seventy-fifth anniversary of the institutional referendum, with which the Italian people spoke out for the Republic.

To mark the excellent relations between Estonia and Italy, the Italian Air Force detachment, which deploys fifth generation F-35 aircrafts in the framework of NATO Baltic air policing mission, will celebrate the Italian National Day at the Ämari base with the Italian Ambassador, Mr Daniele Rampazzo, and guests from the Riigikogu, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Estonian Defence Forces.

The measures needed to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic and the respect due to those who have suffered lead to the decision not to hold the usual reception for the Italian Republic Day.

Through the Italian Embassy web site, Facebook page, Twitter profile and Youtube channel, we will share pictures from the ceremony at Ämari, the events that will take place in Rome, a concert of “I Virtuosi Italiani” and some virtual moments of friendship, “Starting from our future”.
