Directions for using the digital Passenger Locator Form for passengers entering Italy from 24 May 2021

Starting from May 24, 2021, anyone who enters Italy (as their final destination) for any length of time from foreign states or territories , on board any means of transport, before entering the national territory, is required to fill in the digital Passenger Locator Form.

1. Connect to the EU PLF website

2. Follow necessary steps to access the dPLF

3. Choose “Italy” as the destination country

4. Register on the site by creating a personal account with a username and a password (you need to do it only the first time)

5. Fill in and send the dPLF.

Once the form has been sent, the passenger will receive the dPLF in pdf format and a QR code via e-mail, to address indicated during registration. The form needs to be shown directly from your smartphone (in digital format) at the time of boarding and to anyone appointed to carry out the controls.

Alternatively, the passenger can print a copy of the dPLF to show at boarding. It is mandatory to fill in the dPLF before boarding. In any case, the field relating to the seat number assigned on the means of transport will always be editable. A form must be completed for each adult passenger; in the event of the presence of minors, the minor can be registered in the accompanying adult’s form. In the case of unaccompanied minors, the dPLF must be completed by the guardian before departure.
