As of 1 June, COVID-19 travel restrictions are lifted in Italy. Providing proof of vaccination, recovery from COVID-19 or negative test results is no longer required.
Wearing FFP2 facemasks is compulsory:
- on public transport, planes, ships, trains and buses
- in cinemas, theatres, concert halls, stadiums, as well as entertainment, sports and music venues
Facemasks are also required in health structures, hospitals and nursing homes.
Wearing facemasks is recommended in all indoors places.
Exemptions:
- children younger than 6people with disabilities and their carers if the mask makes communication between them impossible
- people performing sports activities
- while dancing in clubs and dance halls
