COVID-19. TRAVELLING TO ITALY

ENTERING / RETURNING TO ITALY

Most COVID-19 measures were lifted in Italy. Providing COVID-19 certificates (called ‘green pass’) is not required to access public places.

Use of facemasks

Until 31 December 2023, wearing facemasks is compulsory in hospital wards hosting vulnerable patients, in rehabilitation facilities and in nursing homes. It can be required in other hospital wards and health structures.

Exemptions:

Children younger than 6, people with disabilities or respiratory conditions, as well as their carers if the facemask makes communication between them impossible.
