The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is making available a scholarship for the specialization course in opera singing at the La Scala Academy (Teatro alla Scala) for the two-year period 2023-2025.
Registration must be completed by 19 May 2023.
The ministerial scholarships are available for a maximum of 10 international students. The scholarships will be granted for the 2023-2024 academic year (effective from 1 January 2024 to 30 September 2024) and, subject to verification of the requirements, they can be renewed for the following academic year 2024-2025 (effective from 1 January 2025 to 30 September 2025).
Each student admitted to the Academy benefits from a monthly scholarship of 900.00 euros, subject to effective attendance and limited to the effective months of the course. Scholarship holders of the specialization course in opera singing will have to autonomously take out an insurance policy against illness and accidents.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Age of at least eighteen and born after January 1, 1993;
- academic diploma in voice from a music conservatory or officially recognized institute of music. If studies were undertaken at a private school of music of with a private teacher, the director of the school or the teacher must issue, under his/her own responsibility, a statement attesting to the student’s qualifications.
LANGUAGE
The course is conducted in Italian.
A course in Italian for foreigners is included in the curriculum according to need.
