SCHOOLS IN ITALY<\/strong><\/p>\n

A complete list of schools of all levels (Kindergartens, First and Second Grade Primary and Secondary Schools, state and equal) is available on the website of the Ministry of Education and Merit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

UNIVERSITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

News of general interest on the organization and functioning of Italian universities can be found on the website of the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MUR<\/a>). On the same site, Italian or foreign students who intend to attend university courses in Italy will find all the useful information in the section called “Studiare in Italia”. Further information is available on the website Uni-Italia.<\/a><\/p>\n

SCHOLARSHIPS FROM ITALIAN UNIVERSITIES <\/strong><\/p>\n

The offers listed at the following link<\/a> are provided by the universities and are not managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.<\/p>\n

UNIVERSITY ENROLLMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Citizens belonging to the European Union, holders of Estonian qualifications, enroll directly in Italian universities.<\/p>\n

2. Citizens\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0belonging to the European Union, residing in Estonia, who wish to enroll in an Italian university, must proceed through the consular office of this Embassy. Interested parties must provide the latter with the complete required documentation.<\/p>\n

Pre-enrolment<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students who wish to pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree course in Italy have to\u00a0pre-enrol<\/a>\u00a0at the Higher Education Institution where they would like to study.<\/p>\n

The pre-enrolment procedure applies to all Non-EU applicants living outside Italy and leads to the issuing of the study visa type-D necessary for the enrolment.<\/p>\n

EQUIPOLLENCE OF EDUCATIONAL \/ PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Foreign academic \/ professional qualifications are not automatically recognized in Italy.<\/p>\n

Holders of Estonian educational \/ professional qualifications (obtained from educational institutions or from officially recognized bodies) who intend to apply for equivalence in Italy, must contact the following authorities:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Provincial School Offices for pre-university level diplomas;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Universities for degrees obtained abroad;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Ministry of Education, University and Research for foreign PhDs;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Various ministries for professional recognition (for the purpose of exercising regulated professions);<\/p>\n

\u2022 For the purposes of participation in competitions:<\/p>\n

For the cases listed above, it will be necessary to obtain the “declaration of value” issued by the consular office of this Embassy.<\/p>\n

DECLARATION OF VALUE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The consular office of this Embassy is only competent to issue declarations of value relating to Estonian educational \/ professional qualifications issued by secondary education \/ academic institutions or professional bodies officially recognized in Estonia.<\/p>\n

This document declares the value of the educational \/ professional qualifications obtained in Estonia, with reference to the local law. Subsequently, the competent Italian administrations (Ministry of Education, University and Research, Provincial School Offices, Universities, etc.) will declare the equivalence (called equivalence) of foreign qualifications to similar Italian qualifications.<\/p>\n

To be able to issue a “Declaration of Value (DV)” of an Estonian educational \/ professional qualification, the following documents must be submitted:<\/p>\n

\u2022 application form, duly completed and signed;<\/p>\n

\u2022 original diploma;<\/p>\n

\u2022 certified copy of the diploma, the list of exams or the original Diploma Supplement, with the sworn translation into Italian;<\/p>\n

\u2022 original ENIC \/ NARIC certificate, with\u00a0sworn translation<\/a>\u00a0in Italian;<\/p>\n

\u2022 copy of their identification document;<\/p>\n

\u2022 possible payment of consular fees.<\/p>\n

PAYMENT OR FREE OF CHARGE OF THE DECLARATION OF VALUE<\/strong><\/p>\n

For proven study reasons, the Declaration of Value is issued free of charge, otherwise it is subject to a fee.<\/p>\n
