In 2026, Italy commemorates the <strong>70th anniversary<\/strong> of the tragedy, a lasting symbol of the hardship, commitment and sacrifice of generations of Italians who sought opportunities abroad through their work.<\/p>\n<p>To mark the occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. <strong>Antonio Tajani<\/strong>, has addressed a message to Italian citizens living abroad, honouring the memory of the victims and reaffirming the importance of preserving this shared legacy for future generations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Minister&#8217;s message (in Italian) is available in the attachment.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"On 8 August, Italy observes the National Day Honouring the Sacrifice of Italian Workers Around the World, established to pay tribute to all Italian workers who lost their lives in the course of their professional duties.
