Scientific cooperation between Italy and Estonia are regulated by the Agreement on Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation signed in Tallinn on May 22nd 1997 and effective from January 30th 2000. This agreement establishes, among other things, the fulfilment of nine scientific cooperation projects between Italian and Estonian Universities and Institutions in the fields of medicine, economics, agriculture and IT. The first Executive Protocol of the Agreement was signed in Tallinn on January 5th 2005, and concerned the period 2005-2008.
The new Executive Program for Cooperation in the fields of culture and education between the Government of the Italian Republic and the Government of the Republic of Estonia for 2022-2026 was signed in Tallinn on August 29th 2022.
