Applications are now open for the ICoN scholarships for students wishing to enrol in the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Italian Language and Culture, delivered entirely online. For the 2026/2027 academic year, the ICoN – Italian Culture on the Net Consortium is offering three semester scholarships, providing partial coverage of the enrolment fees.
This initiative offers an excellent opportunity to earn an Italian university degree without relocating to Italy, thanks to a fully online learning programme.
About ICoN
Founded in 1999, ICoN – Italian Culture on the Net is a consortium of twelve leading Italian universities committed to promoting the Italian language and culture worldwide through e-learning and innovative digital technologies.
The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Italian Language and Culture is delivered entirely online on behalf of the member universities. Students benefit from digital learning materials, live online classes, academic tutoring, and an international virtual learning environment that brings together participants from around the world.
Scholarships
For the 2026/2027 academic year, ICoN is offering three semester scholarships for students enrolling in the first semester of the first year, beginning in September 2026.
Each scholarship provides a €300 reduction in the enrolment fee for the first semester and applies to the Didactic-Linguistic Curriculum (DIL) of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme.
Eligibility
The scholarships are open to:
- foreign nationals;
- Italian citizens residing abroad;
provided they meet the admission requirements for enrolment at an Italian university.
How to apply
Applications will be accepted from 13 July to 8 September 2026.
To apply, candidates must:
- register on the ICoN Bachelor’s Degree Programme portal;
- complete the online application procedure;
- take the Italian language test required under the scholarship call and obtain a minimum score of 60/100;
- submit all the required documentation by the application deadline.
Applications will be assessed by an ICoN Selection Committee, which will draw up a ranking based on the criteria set out in the scholarship call. Successful applicants will be notified by email before the beginning of the semester.
