The 7th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World

The 7th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, an annual initiative launched by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote the Italian culinary tradition and Made in Italy, will be celebrated this year from 14 to 20 November and will be dedicated to the theme “Conviviality, sustainability and innovation: the ingredients of Italian cuisine for the health of people and the protection of the planet”.
The Italian Embassy in Tallinn is also taking part by organising, in collaboration with the Italian Academy of Cuisine, the Castelnuovo Cilento “Ancel Keys” Institute for Hotel and Food service and the Teko School of Services in Tallinn, a programme of events aimed at promoting Italian products and recipes and Italy as a privileged food and wine destination. Teachers and students from Cilento Institute “Ancel Keys” will showcase their culinary skills in front of their Estonian colleagues, but above all they will promote the excellent products of their territory and the benefits of the Mediterranean diet, to which the Institute is named after the American physiologist and creator of the diet. Among the planned initiatives is an ‘Italian Dinner’ to be held at the Teko School. The menu, based on Italian DOP and IGP products, will feature traditional Italian recipes reinterpreted in a modern key by the Michelin-starred Chef Caterina Ceraudo of the Dattilo Restaurant from Strongoli-Crotone.
