The Italian Ministry of Culture presented the first version of “Italian Museums”, an App that provides users with information on cultural places in the national museum system and allows the purchase of entrance tickets.
The App provides information in English and Italian on 406 Italian museums and archaeological parks, geo-localizing their position in relation to the visitor and giving access to a digital ticketing platform.
Available free of charge on the main platforms, the tool will be progressively extended to all state public museums with the aim of making it the privileged access portal to the network of almost 4,900 Italian museums.
New features are also being developed, such as recommended itineraries, audio guide and video guide services and versions in other languages, to improve the visitor experience and promote accessibility to places of culture.
