The call for applications for Awards and Contributions for the dissemination of Italian books through the translation of literary and scientific works into a foreign language (including digital media) and for the production, dubbing and subtitling of short films, feature films and television series has been published.
Publishers, translators, production/distribution/dubbing/subtitling companies, cultural institutions, agents and literary agencies can apply for two types of incentive: contributions and awards for translation into a foreign language; contributions and awards for the production of short films, feature films and television series.
Interested parties may submit their requests, complete with all the documents listed in the call, to this Embassy by sending them by email to tallinn.culturale@esteri.it by 7 April 2025.
Applications must be submitted by applicants using exclusively the appropriate form (attached to the call for applications herewith), in Italian or English. No requests for contributions will be accepted for works already published, distributed, translated or dubbed at the date of submission of the application and for works whose publication is scheduled for before 1 August 2025, i.e. published before the deadlines for completing the procedures for assigning the benefit.
It is also recalled that in order for the application to be admissible, the request for a contribution must be lower than the cost of the project. The MAECI contribution must not be a binding element for the purposes of translation, dissemination, production, publication, dubbing and subtitling of the work. Applications subject to contributions from other Italian institutions will not be admissible. Likewise, applications for works that have already competed for the assignment of other Prizes or Contributions will not be admissible.
