HEALTH CARE
In the Republic of Estonia, a member country of the European Union, the Italian health card is recognized, which entitles you to health care only for emergencies.
ECONOMIC ASSISTANCE
The consular office of this Embassy can provide a subsidy to a Italian citizen residing permanently in the consular district and who is in a situation of proven exceptional need, such as a delay in the arrival of the government assistance allowance, disability, particular medical conditions which involve special medical, dietary or pharmaceutical expenses not covered by local assistance, etc. The indigent compatriot will have to prove, if necessary, his condition of exceptional necessity by exhibiting the documentation that will be requested of him. Subsidies cannot exceed the maximum limit established by ministerial provisions. This type of assistance also includes the free issue of the Italian passport to citizens in economic difficulty. The Italian citizen in transit, who has suffered the theft of money or other documents, can also request the disbursement of a loan with a promise of repayment to the Italian State. The granting of the loan is subject to the evaluation of the consular office of this Embassy.
