The School of International Studies of the University of Trento has published the calls for applications for two Master’s degree programmes for the academic year 2026/2027.
The programmes, both entirely taught in English, are:
- the Master’s Degree in International Security Studies (MISS), offered in cooperation with the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies;
- the Master’s Degree in European and International Studies (MEIS).
The application calls for non-EU candidates are open until 4 March 2026. This category includes applicants who:
- hold citizenship of a non-European Union country and are not resident in Italy;
- hold citizenship of a non-European Union country, have a study residence permit for Italy, and are not resident in Italy;
- hold citizenship of a non-European Union country with temporary protection status, are not resident in Italy, and have not obtained a secondary school diploma in Italy.
For the academic year 2026/2027, the University of Trento offers:
- 2 scholarships for students enrolling in the Master’s Degree in International Security Studies;
- 2 scholarships for students enrolling in the Master’s Degree in European and International Studies.
Each scholarship amounts to €7,200 per year. Tuition fee waivers are available to a larger number of students, based on their ranking in the admission list.
An additional funding opportunity is available for descendants of emigrants from the Trentino region.

A second call for applications for “European and equivalent” candidates (EU citizens, as well as citizens of Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, the Republic of San Marino and the Vatican City State; and non-EU citizens resident in Italy) will be open from 1 April 2026 to 30 June 2026.
