The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) is launching the ninth edition of the “Premio Farnesina – Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award” and the “L’innovazione che parla italiano” Award, as well as the fourth edition of the “Science, She Says!” Award. These three initiatives recognise excellence in scientific research and innovation on the international stage.
The Embassy of Italy in Tallinn invites interested applicants in Estonia to consult the relevant calls for applications and submit their applications in accordance with the eligibility criteria and procedures set out in each call.
Premio Farnesina – Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award
For the 2026 edition, the award is open to Italian researchers under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves abroad for their scientific achievements.
The winner will receive funding for a three-month research stay at an Italian research institution, to be completed within 12 months of the selection, as well as a diploma and commemorative plaque.
“L’innovazione che parla italiano” Award
The award is dedicated to technology start-ups founded by Italian citizens and operating abroad, with a strong focus on innovation.
The winning start-up will be invited to present its innovation at the Conference of Scientific and Space Attachés and Agricultural Experts, to be held in Reggio Calabria in November, and will receive a diploma and commemorative plaque.
“Science, She Says!” Award
Now in its fourth edition, the award is open to young female researchers under the age of 40 from outside Italy who have distinguished themselves through excellence in their scientific work.
The winners will receive a diploma and commemorative plaque.
