The President of the Republic, Alar Karis, received the Letters of Credence from Ambassador Stefano Catani in Kadriorg.
The President thanked Italy for its important contribution to the security of the Baltic region to which the air defence mission stationed in Ämari will also contribute in the second half of 2025. Other topics covered by the meeting were European and global security and Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine with its global consequences.
The topic of cooperation in international organizations and the reform of the UN Security Council was also addressed.
The development of bilateral relations in the cultural, economic, scientific and academic fields was also discussed.
